About Us

Velocity Color, Inc., was founded in 2005 by Julie Butler, Terry Zerphey, and Brian Donnelly to provide digital printing solutions to the advertising, corporate and modeling services industries. The three partners bring over 75 years of industry experience, and a shared passion for excellence to Velocity Color. No printing job should ever be short on quality, or delivered late. Velocity uses HP Indigo products to ensure the highest quality digital printing available.

Brian Donnelly

Brian Donnelly is an established, successful commercial photographer. Being in business for 25 years, Brian has built long-term relationships with many advertising agencies and marketing companies in central Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and New York. In addition to his business skills, Brian will provide significant creative energy and quality assurance. Brian brings design capabilities, photography and marketing ideas, a client service typically not offered in-house by printing companies. Brian’s stock photography business will compliment, market and refer business to Velocity Color.

Terry Zerphey

Terry Zerphey has owned YZ Printing Company, a mid-size offset printing company in Elizabethtown, for the past 25 years. He serves many capacities in the business, from lead sales and operation oversight, to executive manager. Velocity intends to leverage Terry's customer relationships to generate sales. Velocity will also benefit from YZ's infrastructure, expertise and finishing capabilities. Velocity Color, in turn, expands YZ’s existing capabilities and offerings, enabling it to reach and serve a larger customer base.

Terry's expertise and experience in equipment and other capital purchases will benefit Velocity. He maintains a current knowledge of new technologies and efficiencies, most recently moving to "direct to plate", the latest advance in the offset printing industry.

Julie Butler

Julie Butler possesses almost 20 years of experience in the printing industry. She worked for Intelligencer Printing Company for nearly 13 years. Beginning as an estimator, Julie advanced to sales. Julie spent her last years with Intell Printing in information technology, becoming the first female manager in the company's 200 year history. For the past six years, Julie has run her own consulting company, advising local printers on operations, IT, equipment purchases, business plans, and marketing strategies. She has also advised print buyers on purchasing matters.
